Tara Maltman-Just, B.Sc.(Pharm.), MS, ABAAHP, FAARFM

Tara Maltman-Just is the Founder and Executive Clinician of vitality integrative medicine, a ground-breaking professional practice focused on optimal health. As a patient, it's vital you understand your healthcare professional's training and ensure they are a regulated healthcare professional like Tara. 


Tara is a Fellow in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine, an Advanced Fellow in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, Functional Medicine and Metabolic, Nutritional Medicine, a Board-Certified Diplomate with the Metabolic Medical Institute and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and a Licensed Pharmacist.  


Through the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, Tara also holds a Masters of Science Degree with a concentration in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine focused on the clinical application of Integrative Medicine in patient health.


She combines her extensive training with her comprehensive approach to wellness to help people live better, more balanced lives. At vitality integrative medicine, she offers personalized counsel on a range of health issues, which has attracted patients to her practice from across Canada, and even requests from the US and other continents.  She collaborates closely with many healthcare professionals, and also receives referrals from physicians across the country.


Tara is a renowned Speaker, serving on the local and national platform for both the public and healthcare professionals, advocating innovative practice and patient-first care.  


She is a regular Contributor to multiple professional publications, the Author of a foreword in a book on a patient’s 30-year long health journey by D.H. Goodfellow, and has served as a Health Columnist for the Winnipeg Free Press.


Tara’s Innovative Practice has garnered media attention and received critical acclaim from her patients, peers and professionals in all sectors, from health to business to human rights.  


Tara was featured as the Health Expert in a 5-Part TV Health Series highlighting ‘Often Forgotten Health Issues’ and interventions that can impact peoples’ lives.  She is often featured on news talk radio for her timely advice on pertinent health events, including CKNW 980 Vancouver Radio and CJOB 680 Winnipeg.


She holds numerous practice accomplishments including:

  • the first ever double recipient of the National Commitment to Care and Service Awards 2014 for both OVERALL PATIENT CARE and ADVANCED LEARNING with the Canadian Healthcare Network and Rogers Media, 
  • recipient of the National INNOVATION Award for Achievement in Patient Care 2014 from the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA)
  • recipient of the Magnum Opus Award 2014 from the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists for exceptional achievement in advancing patient care through advanced training,
  • recipient of the Centennial Award from the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA)
  • her achievement in Lifelong Learning Certificate with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM),
  • Trailblazer & Innovator Award 2019 with BMO Celebrating Women National Program.


Tara is QUIT-Certified in Smoking Cessation and has Prescriptive Authority for Drugs for both Self-Limting Conditions and Smoking Cessation, is ADAPT-trained and has served as a Moderator for ADAPT with CPhA.  Tara has also served as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Manitoba and also represents the Thyroid Change International Patient Advocacy Initiative, educating thousands of patients from the United States and across the world. She has served on the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Research Group (CPPRG) National Executive Committee, as an Assessor for the OSCE’s with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) and a Reviewer for the Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP). 


In addition to her full-time clinical practice, Tara has continued her love of learning with a Brain Fitness Certification training under internationally-renowned physicians including Dr. Daniel Amen, Dr. Eric Braverman, and Dr. David Perlmutter.


Tara loves nature excursions, cross-country skiing, supporting the monarch butterfly and birding, and has embraced her love of animals of all kinds as a vegetarian since age 10. 


Supported by her strong faith and family, she also enjoys traveling with her husband Harold as well as 'living in the moment' with her two puppies Calla and Lilly.
